Transformation and Connection

Priya Marita Diaz, (she/they) founder of Plaza Artista Studio, is a Chicanx musician, sound healer, yogini, educator, actor and community organizer - a California transplant who has found peace and purpose in the heart of Seattle on Beacon Hill. Their passion lies in guiding others as they navigate the intricate pathways of life, seeking meaning, expression and healing.

Priya grew up in an intentional yoga community in the mountains in Central California and began studying yoga, pranayama, theater and music at the age of 11. Growing up off grid on a secluded mountain instilled a deep connection to the earth that has guided them throughout their life journey.

Priya studied classical hindustani music in the California and Nepal, plays various instruments, including voice, guitar and percussion, and holds a Masters Degree in Education. Priya offers sound healing sessions and creative arts events at her studio, Plaza Artista Studio in Seattle WA, the lands of the Coast Salish people.
